The THOMSEN GROUP has developed the following product strategy:
4 Office towers with 46,000 sqm of floor space in the formerly unpopular Bilk district of Dusseldorf have been converted to become the first democratic offices in which the tenants and their employees feel as comfortable as guests of state and make decisions like owners.
With an investment of 2 m the entire house has been architecturally adjusted to suit the strategy. These adjustments consisted of revitalizing steps for the outer and inner areas as well as a new lighting concept. Among other things the building received a new name: rwi4.
To feel like a guest of state - the service for tenants has been raised to an exemplary standard. During working hours tenants can have their dry-cleaning done or their car washed. A concierge also takes care of a speedy bouquet of flowers at the last minute or a taxi with the extra amount of service. The tenants of rwi4 call it "PowerServices".
Make decisions like an owner - a democracy means: to take part in decision making. Whether it's about interior details in the BusinessLounge or the choice of PowerServices - the tenants independently make decisions about the development of the house. This persuades employers to choose the location so they can get a step ahead in the competition for qualified employees.
